~ Great White ~

Work in Progress

To begin this painting I paint the entire canvas Black.

It is then given time to completely dry. I then continue by covering the canvas with various hues of  Blue and Dark Green (Translucent colors), intentionally leaving certain areas untouched. Once this is done I can then add  touches of White to my brush and begin creating the illusion of depth.

Once I've lightened the canvas sufficiently and it has had time to completely dry, I can then continue. On a dry canvas i am able to layout the general shape of the shark with some White Charcoal.

Now the fun begins!

I can now begin filling in and refining the shape I drew.

A little further along with the process.

Almost finished...

Here you see the resulting finished work.
