I've always wanted to paint a Wolf so after finding a decent photo, I decided to crop it quite a bit.
I zoomed in on the head of the Wolf and after much deliberation chose to go with a simple background. A background which depicts the cold, harsh reality that this highly adaptive animal inhabits.
I chose to use the grid method to enlarge the photo onto the 16 x 20 inch canvas I'd be working on.
Here is the Wolf after the second day's sketching has been completed. A few more hours and this will be ready for some paint.
